Kowalk, Clara (Marriage - 18 Sept. 1935)
A very pretty wedding took place at the St. Mary’s parsonage at Colby, Wisconsin, Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 P.M., Rev. L. J. Lang reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss Clara Kowalk, daughter of Mrs. Wm. Kowalk, became the bride of Mr. Floyd Eder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Eder. Mr. and Mrs. James O’Brien of Madison, brother in law and sister of the groom, were the attendants.
The bride was attired in a beautiful gown of white satin, lace jacket, veil and white shoes. Her shower bouquet consisted of roses and gladioli. Mrs. O’Brien wore a dress of white lace and carried an arm bouquet.
A wedding reception was given relatives at the home of the bride, covers being laid for sixty. The home was nicely decorated with green and white streamers and cut flowers for the occasion. In the evening a wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion.
The young couple will spend several days at Lake Chetek after which they will be at home with the bride’s mother. The groom is employed as bookkeeper at the Krepsky Chevrolet garage at Abbotsford, Wis.
